今、アフガニスタンで起きていること。とても心配です。
I am very concerned of what is happening in Afghanistan.

多くの人たちが国から脱出しようとカブールの空港に詰めかけていますが、明らかに時間が足りません。期限が迫っています
People are rushing to the airport in Kabul to get out of the country but obviously they are running out of the time. The clock is ticking.

バイデンさん、再度正式に8/31の米軍の撤退を発表しました。
President Biden again officially announced that the US military will be withdrawing from the country by the end of August.

タリバンの主張や米軍の任期延長によるリスクを考えれば当たり前のことでしょう。彼の判断は十分理解できます。
When I think about the claim made by Taliban and potential risks caused by extending the presence of US military, it is highly understandable that he made such decision.

でも正直、今朝バイデンさんが撤退を強調したと知り悲しかったです。米軍が残って無実の人たちに標的が向かわないよう、脱出を望む人たちを手助けしてくれるよう願っていました。
But to be honest, I was sad when I found out that Biden reinforced the US withdrawal this morning. I was hoping the US troops to remain in the country to make sure innocent people don't get attacked and they can get out of the country if they wish.

現地に行ってアフガンの人たちを助けたい
Now I wanna go there to help Afghan people.

このような出来事がある度、何不自由のない日本に暮らしていることを申し訳なく感じます
I feel guilty living in Japan where literally everything is available every time I hear this kind of tragedies in other countries.

子育てに専念していたここ十数年は、こんな気持ちを忘れていたんだなと気付きました
And I realized that I had not felt in this way for the last ten to twelve years in which I dedicated myself to child rearing.

余裕がなかったのだと😵
I just didn’t have the time and the leeway for that.

人道支援への思いが芽生えたのは中学生の時でした
My passion towards humanitarian aid started to grow in myself when I was a junior high student.

留学を目指したのも元々はそのためで、国連で働きたい！なんて考えたこともありましたが、届かぬ存在だとすぐに気づきました😂
That was something which initially inspired me to study abroad and even I once thought of getting into UN which, I soon realized, was unreachable for me.

そして今まで結局「人道支援」をしたことがありません
After all, I have never been engaged in "HUMANITARIAN AID".

実際は私欲のために生きてます🙊
The fact is that I live for my own interests.

人道支援の道を選んでいたら、どんな人生だったんだろうと思ったり
I wonder what my life would have been like if I chose humanitarian aid as my career.

今回のニュースでとてもいろいろなことを考えています
What is happening in Afghanistan at the moment makes me think various things.

そしていつかそんな仕事がしてみたいと、いつかの夢を思い出したのでした
In doing so, my old dream popped up in my mind and I am dreaming it again👀
